Hi.. going down a bit of a rabbit hole trying to figure out CEILING FANS and home assistant. Based on what I’m reading, if you use a DC motor fan you probably want something that works with Bond Bridge.. I can probably narrow down my search to fans that meet that criteria, but what’s less clear is if I can use something like a zooz scene controller in a 1 gang and wire the fan to be always hot? Anyone deal with anything like this?

What I did for my ceiling fans was just a smart switch and a dumb fan, I know I can't control speed/direction that way, but I change those maybe once a year. Alternatively if it uses an RF remote, you can tie that into home assistant to send the rf commands. (Just alternatives to a fully smart fan in case options there are limited)
makes sense... I ended up getting a Minke-Aire fan which includes Bond natively, so for now I am gonna just wire it to a dumb switch that I can use to switch the entire thing on/off and use the remote it comes with... Then in the future if I want automation I could use Bond Bridge with HA and potentially a scene controller instead of the wall switch.
