Hi all, i'm making a presence seat sensor for my desk chair using a car seat sensor and a door/window Zigbee sensor, as you can see in https://community.home-assistant.io/t/diy-zigbee-bed-chair-occupancy-sensor/239517 But my Zigbee sensor has no reed switch, so I don't really now where to solder the seat sensor wires. I can`t identify the magnetic sensor in the PCB. Any idea? BTW, I've ordered a leakage Zigbee sensor, with the 2 contacts exposed, but I would want to use this sensors in other similar projects. Thanks in advance 🙂

if there's no obvious reed switch, then the sensor is probably using a hall effect sensor instead. There will be an IC with at least 3 or 4 pins somewhere on the board which contains the hall effect sensor, possibly along with amplifier/readout circuitry.

honestly there's a good chance that it's in the IC that the yellow arrow in your picture is pointing at.

#

but in order to know whether and how you could hook up to that circuit, you need to identify what type of chip and what pinout is being used.

(it also might be on the other side of the board from your picture)
