For example, create a condition of 30 minutes before Sun Next setting?

I saw the documentation, not sure if I interpreted it correctly

if I use the before sunset, condition will be true X before sunset until midnight?

I'm not sure if I want this, I have to think about this some more

If you use before sunset it will be true from midnight to sunset, and false after sunset

Thank you, I'll keep thinking about this some more. I always have to reread when I create a new automation with sunset/sunrise since I haven't fully understood the logic yet

before sunset is true from midnight the day before until sunset the day of?

For example, one hour before sunset would be true from 1/31/2025 midnight until sunset occurs on 2/1/2025?

how would I have the condition equal sunrise or sunset? leave the before/after part blank in the visual editor?

I would use the sun trigger rather than condition if you want it to be exactly at the time
