can you link where you got the board from?
i would suggest flashing it to esphome instead of tasmota but either way you will need to know whats connected to what pin
hold on, i can find the listing
Device specification : USA SELLER Board comes fully assembled Comes with programmed ESP8266 WIFI module Default firmware type Access Point, SSID inch 16CH relay AP inch , default IP address 192.168.4.1 PCB board dimension 130mm x 150mm Operation DC voltage 5.0V Maximum peak current @5.0V 2000mA M...
heres the listing, i was just doing tasmota because that how linus did it in his smart hvac video but whatever u think would be more reliable. but heads up i suck at coding. i have used esp before tho for temp sensors but thats it
right so it came with esphome and you opted to flash tasmota onto it instead?
so there is some more info on the device here - https://www.tindie.com/products/bugrovs2012/16-channel-relay-module-wifi-esp8266-homeassistant/
it looks like it uses the PCF8575 GPIO expander which is not supported by tasmota.
you need to use esphome, also as you have flashed away the factory firmware you will likely have to reprogram it once esphome is flashed. this shouldnt be too hard as there are some repos from krida which you can use to help configure esphome. once configured you will have the relays exposed to home assistant
