Hi, i have a EnOcean PTM 215Z 4-button switch configured in z2m to control lights via HA. I have sensors and an automation to control the same lights. Is it possible to create an entity that changes state, based on the buttons pressed on the switch? I want to use the entity state as a bypass in the automation. If so, how? Sorry if this is not the right channel.

i am not totally sure i understand what your explaining but it sounds like a toggle helper might be what you want. you can switch it with the button press?
Z2M 2.0 has (experimental) support for event entities that you can enable, which will likely give you what you want
As far as i know, the event entity shows all events, not events for a single button. Additionally, i cannot define what the state or output for the entity should be, for the automation to detect it. So, it needs to be a entity only for one button, if possible.
Also, unfortunately it doesn't seem like an 'event' entity is made for this specific device
