i think you could modify the esphome config to do it. but its not simple and i think someone mentioned it wasnt totally reliable

You can use external speaker (via 3.5mm jack). Not the other media_player.
I don't think there's ETA on this feature.
I made some changes to Koala Satellite that allow to do this, but it's still rudimentary, glitchy and needs manual job.
