Hello! coming back to HA after a few years away. I use to use a microSD card with my rpi4 but have heard SSD are more reliable so I was looking to switch over to that.
I have a computer that doesn't work anymore with a Samsung 850 Evo 500gb Internal SSD that I was going to use... but have been having issues with it cooperating with the Pi.
HA is installed on the SSD but when I plug it into the Pi, it wouldn't boot from the SSD... it seemed like the Pi wasn't able to power the SSD. So I got a USB port with a power adapter and tried that but still getting the same issue where the Pi doesn't seem to be able to boot when the SSD is plugged in, or if it does it fails to boot from the SSD and goes back to the Micro SD card.
Any ideas? Thinking about giving up and either getting an External SSD or just getting an Intel NUC or similar
