Hello I was wondering if I brought a blue tooth speaker can this connect to home assistant to be used as a general speaker either in conjunction with the built in speaker or instead of it?

Much appreciated if someone could help me.

I suppose if not I can buy a speaker with a lead thing to plug into the HA.

Not in any way which is fun to use or reliable. Bluetooth speakers are not going to be there when you need them, and there are no great ways to control volume or other things.
