Hi everyone,

I have a SONOFF Universal Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus which acts as my coordinator plugged into my rpi 5 with a 2m usb extension cable running home assistant os. My ZigBee LQI used to be high because I used to have my raspberry pi setup the opposite side of the house, but it only used to be connected via WiFi and sometimes it caused instability issues with the internet connection.

I have since flipped my setup where I placed my raspberry pi close to my internet router and hardwired in my internet connection which solved that connectivity issue, but my ZigBee LQI is really poor now even after I connected my devices to closer routers.

I have 9 routers spread out evenly around my apartment over 2 levels.

Any suggestions on how to get a stronger LQI to my network?

I can give more details if needed.

I did some reading on different forums and some mentioned that ZigBee and WiFi both use the same 2.4GHz channels and that maybe the WiFi router could potentially cause interference with the ZigBee network?

Yes they use the same frequency range which will cause interference. You can try to mitigate that by trying to switch your access points and zigbee network to different channels which are further separated or you will need to add more devices to your mesh.
