Hi, i'd like to have the possibility to measure the use of Gas without having a meter.

i use a gas cylinder, therefore i have no meter installed.

is there a way, or a sensor, that can allow me to get real time consume?

I can code on my own all the stuff to make it work on a esp32 and send the value to ha, but i don't know if there are sensors or stuffs to achieve this.

Pop the cylinder on a scale and weigh it is probably the lowest effort and reliable way imo - plumbing stuff into your gas line shouldn't be done lightly

most cylinders have their empty weight stamped on them i think? so you could use a smart scale or other weight sensor.

another idea that struck me would be to measure temperature on the outside and see if there is a measurable change where the content goes from liquid to gas. that would of course mean a bunch of temperature sensors, so the weight is probably way better
