VPE Custom Wake Word

Does the VPE support custom wake words (such as snowboy or openwakeword)? the VPE does not seem to interact with the wake word section in voice assistants and has its own wake word association in it's entity screen.

It does, but it uses microWakeword which is running on device, not in Home Assistant.

There are several threads here from folks training custom ones. Quality of those is all over the map though due to low numbers of samples compared to Nabu.

That thing is related to Openwakeword, not to Microwakeword which is used in PE/Koala/Sat1

There's a way to train your own wake word as it was stated higher in thread, but it doesn't work very well and never beat Ok Nabu, which had ~20k real voice samples to train on...
