#Looking for zigbee or zwave light switch options (no neutral) AND dimmer options from a single mfg

Hey folks,

Working on a really old house, lots of the switches do not have neutral wires. Some renovations were done so some do have a neutral. So now what I’m trying to find is a single vendor (for stylistic uniformity) that makes a no neutral zigbee or zwave rocker switch AND they also have dimmer switch options. In this case smart relays aren’t going to work out because the request is to change all the switches.

I was going to go with Aqara no neutral rocker switches, but they don’t appear to make a dimmer switch. Anyone have any suggestions for switches I can use to solve this?

Located in the US, budget is about $40/switch.

Lutron Caseta is the only thing I know of that hits all of your functionality requirements, but it is more expensive than your budget allows for. You’d be able to go way cheaper with zooz if you had neutrals available everywhere.

Sorry, one more clarification point: I don’t want another hub.

Don’t all caseta switches (except the ones you actually don’t wire in) require a neutral anyway? I had caseta in a previous house and it was rock solid, but that house was a new build so this was easy.

The house was built in the 1940s, so neutrals aren’t really going to happen unless the whole electrical system is overhauled.

No, Caseta in-wall switches do not need neutral

You just have to pay for the privilege because they really have that market cornered

The Claro switches don’t require a neutral?

The house has 16 switches, only 3 are dimmers. Stylistically I want the same vendor for everything. So you’re saying I can do 13 claro and 3 diva dimmers and nary a 1 requires a neutral?
