Bit late, but you need to go into your Google Cloud project, enable on Pub/Sub topics, and name it whatever (mine is just test). Then it will show the file-format you need to put in that box.

Anyways, I do have one other issue now: for some odd reason, whenever I go to the final setup step of authentication for home assistant via the external url, it gives me an error. I don’t have my laptop on hand right now but when I do I will send it

Is the error from the Google side or the Home assistant side?

Sometime's I've gotten an error on the HA side and it was as simple as me pasting the wrong information in the setup.

The only error I've gotten from the google side is not giving some google account pub/sub publisher access. That was pretty easy to fix.

That's interesting. Just by looking at it, I would assume that you have modified your home assistant URL or something where the default URL that it gives you to link everything is wrong.

I'll have to take a closer look tomorrow

my home assistant IP has changed due to a power outage I had

but otherwise the remote access link is the same

I put https://my.home-assistant.io/redirect/oauth as a redict URL for the project, but when I open it it gives me an invalid parameters error

Sorry I have had a very long few days and have had little time to look at this. Spent a few days in the hospital with my wife.

I believe what you want to do is totally remove the nest integration from home assistant and start over. I've seen that other people have found success after having that same error.

so I found the following, but afaik the oauth client id I have is correct: Can’t link to [Project Name]: Please contact [Project Name] if the issue persists: This typically means that the OAuth Client ID used is mismatched

I am using the same account on both the device access console and the project dashboard. Heck, i'm even using the same email as my Home Assistant Account, although afaik this doesn't matter too much

and yes, my redict link that i've authorized is https://my.home-assistant.io/redirect/oauth

although, looking back at this link, I get the following, what should I do?

Okay so you have your project and Oauth client ID and client secret, with the Authorized redirect URI set to https://my.home-assistant.io/redirect/oauth. This is correct?

I assume you have also turned on access to Pub/Sub and created a "topic"? If you've done this I assume you gave the permission of Pub/Sub Publisher to [e-mail]?

FYI, I didn't have to configure anything using the redirect/oauth link you show in the last picture. You shouldn't have to do anything with that

Thats so weird. I don't know what the issue would be. Cause once you get that stuff taken care of, it should be straightforward. I'll do some more digging but i have no clue

Thats good. Was it just as simple as deleting the old configuration and re-entering everything? I though I mentioned that but maybe there was a different way to delete it?

If you are waiting to do this till you get home, I'd use the link you show.

If you are attempting to do it remote, put in the Nabu Casa link.

This page is just sending the completed information back to home assistant securely.
