Hi all,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7kyqpq4Ev4&t=28s
I found this youtubelink from Reed and it got my interest. Now, my rooms are not that big as his rooms are. So i would like some advise about other options.
I havent tried it out yet, but i think that the my rooms are to small for the bluetooth connection to "sweep over".

Thanks in advance!

Regards

I put ESPresense around my entire house! Now I can automate based on what room I'm in with my Apple Watch.

mmWave. Apollo automation mtr1 or msr2 or the Aqara fp2.

I use all three I’m happy with all 3. The Apollo stuff is more “tinkerable” while the Aqara fp2 is more set and forget.

I'm biased because it's my baby, but you could try out Bermuda - it aims to provide what espresense does and (eventually) more, but using a fully-native HA stack: esphome bluetooth proxies (so they can do any other esphome sensor tasks as well), and Bermuda as a custom integration.

There are some issues currently with people finding their devices "switch" between rooms more often than desired, which I'm working on, but generally it seems to work well for a lot of folk.

mmWave is far more responsive, sensitive and reliable for answering "is someone in this room", but Bermuda can be used alongside to also answer "who" is in the room, which can be pretty powerful.
