I am using the companion app to connect to android health connect.
In the github discussion I can see that it should be able to read the weight readings:

I do have weight written to it via the withings integration but I cannot enable the sensor.
Am I missing something ?

Many sensors including weight were removed because Google didnt want to approve them/blocked release. Check the documentation for what's supported: http://companion.home-assistant.io/docs/core/sensors#health-connect-sensors

yes they are the ones who approve apps usage and permissions
