I am seeking a hardware recommendation for a battery storage system that will later be expanded with a photovoltaic system.

The final system should have the following specifications:

  • 15 kWp photovoltaic capacity
  • 15-20 kWh battery capacity
  • Backup power supply for the house (including server system)
  • I would like to start with the inverter and battery (within a budget) and add the solar panels at a later date.

The following functions are important to me:

  • Battery charging from the grid (possible at any time)
  • Battery discharge for self-consumption and grid feed-in
  • Switching between grid operation and off-grid operation
  • 10 kW output power
  • Integration with Home Assistant (preferably via LAN/TCP)
  • 3 Phase System
I would like to request a recommendation for suitable components that meet these requirements.

Saw an interesting pitch from a salesman for LiFeBlue Batteries Tuesday in which he claimed both Ethernet and CANbus compatibility. I cannot verify the claim, so do you own research. I don't own any batteries nor do I own or represent the company. https://lifebluebattery.com

Perhaps look into Victron and Deye systems. Victron would be a more enthusiast type choice, and Deye probably a good turnkey solution.

Deye and Victron 48V systems can be used with typical 16S 16kWh LFP batteries such as Gobel, Yixiang and EEL.
