#Can I use a Smart bulb without any dimmer?

Looking to buy a zigbee bulb, but it will be used in a 3 gang smart switch that has no dimmer.

I don't want to replace the switch, and I don't need physical dimming since I just want one brightness throughout the day and a different brightness throughout the night.

I guess it's not best practice since you're limiting the usage to software, but it's not worth the money to replace the gangs.

I plan to use whatever Tuya z2mqtt or similar cheap bulb I can find.

Is there any issue with this setup?

Thanks!

Besides you intending to buy tuya gear which is a bad idea, there is no loss of functionality from not having a physical dimmer

The issue isn't a lack of perfection, it's a lack of standard. For basic products such as lamps, paying insignificantly more yields much less headaches down the line. But if quality issues or a forced cloud connection on wifi gear isnt bothersome to you, they are a buck cheaper than others.

The smart bulb line from Ikea is probably the most reasonable purchase available when on a budget then. Alternatives in a similar range would be from Innr and if you really crave Tuya, people seem to be alright with what Ledvance and Moes sells but those can be a hit or miss.
