#How to properly do Heating Schedules

I love HA but what I dont really understand is why there is no easy way of heating scheduling.
I have Tado Valves and I still use the connection over the API instead of the local Homekit connection because I am not satisfied by the solutions to have good scheduling with HA.
The Auto Assistant runs via HA and the valve offsets are controlled via HA too.
What are your recommendations for a easy heating scheduling, is there one that runs with a UI to have a similiar control like in Tado itself?
How do I get back the Auto Mode if I use something like Better Thermostat?

I really cant grasp my Head around it and I always put this last cloud integration aside because the solution is tedious and no fun in my opinion.
Im looking forward to all your solution because I dont think Im the only one that is kinda annoyed by the current state of heating in HA. 😅

So... What do you want to actually achieve with your heating, because there's a hell of a lot of options for how to do things in HA but which are best will depend on what you want to do

Time Block of different temperature per Room, Night Mode Temp, maybe an EcoMode Temp.
The Time Blocks should be the default and when Night Mode is activated the temp should be the night temp till my alarm goes off. (I currently do this with changing the temp at night and then switching on tado auto mode 20 minutes before my next alarm)

#

So basically I want a good way of doing this:

#

The ability to use a external temp sensor like with Better Thermostat or the Offset Delta Calculation should also exist.

#

But my problem is, that this automode implementation is so complicated and obfuscated to reimplement.

#

Also an quick per room away mode would be nice too

#

I hope that makes it clearer

Scheduler component and card and versatile thermostat from HACS
Can customise every mode's temp as much as you like, link in presence and motion sensors to enable/disable heating, use an external and room temperature sensor...
