Hi,

I have been running HAOS on a raspberry pi 5 for a while now, using a 32gb micro sd card to run and store everything. I don't have much space left on the micro sd, because I take regular backups, which I imagine take up a lot of storage. So I have bought an M.2. HAT and 256gb SSD which I hope to runhome assistant on.

Can anyone give me some advice on how to transfer everything from my micro sd card to the new SSD, so that I can boot from the SSD, and never have to use the micro sd card again?

Thanks!

As an option, clone with any disk copying program.

Yes that’s what I want to do but am trying to find out if I can do that without buying an adapter to connect to my pc

I'm doing the same thing next week. My plan is to fresh install a HAOS and restore a fresh full backup.

Nice I think I’ll do the same

@zealous moon I used a M.2. to USB adapter and used PI imager to install HAOS on it. I restored a backup (it takes a while), but is now fully up and running perfectly 🙂
