I have several ESP8266 based devices running an older version (2023.xxxx) of ESP due to a previous bug that prevents OTAs by causing a softbrick.
I noticed that the ESPhome addon says that at least one of these devices is unavailable/offline in the webgui, but HA is still connected to them and getting sensor updates. Is this due to the mismatch in versions? Is there another explanation?

It may be due to a, OTA password mismatch

What error do you get if you open the log ( if any? ) I've similar-ish problems of them not connecting to API or allowing web server connections but OTA's working fine. "older" devices have been updated and are working fine, it seems to be any new device I am trying to set up.
