#What is the "best" door sensor in 2025?

The Aqara door sensor seems to be really popular, but they have also recently released their "p2" version with thread/matter support.

There's also the ikea sensors, which are AAA powered - seems really nice, but I've not seen much info about them.

The ikea parasoll is so cheap it's difficult to justify any of the other ones. they cost literally 1/3 of the aqara?

I buy the cheapest zigbee ones off of aliexpress. They work fine. I don't see the point to buy anything more expensive.

I have a couple of those Ikea ones.

It using standard triple A batteries is a big plus but I need to change them every 3ish months. Would recommend getting a cheap set rechargeables to not cause much waste

How often are they triggered?

Couple times a day, maybe 5-10x

Strange. My AAA ones live a year or so with at least 70 triggers per day.

Maybe it's the batteries being old stock idk
