I found https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/lawn_mower/ and was wondering which brand and type of lawn mower is compatible to this integration.
Anyone else experience with any lawn mower, lawn robot?
My preferred mower is Robomow RKS800. Should it work with the above integration?

Building block integration
This lawn mower is a building block integration that cannot be added to your Home Assistant directly but is used and provided by other integrations.
There would need to be another integration for a specific manufacturer that supports their specific robot.

Looking here seems like Ecovacs and Husqvarna have integrations.
Thanks @real patrol, seems lawn mowers are very limited integrated. I'm not a programmer so I have no idea how someone can create an integration based on an App that the maker of a product made.
Robomow has an App for the Robomow RKS800, so pure theoretically, it should be able I guess to make an HA integration
You can't really make an integration based on the existence of an app.
It's only realistically possible if the manufacturer provides an API that third parties can hook into.
Many don't, and they try hard to make it as obfuscated as possible to lock you into using their app.
Ah, ok
Or somebody really puts energy into reverse engineering it.
Seems Robomow has an API test page https://myrobomow.robomow.com/api
Robomow is one of the biggest manufacturers since year in this business (lawn mowers)
Robomow Wifi is new since 2024. All models before could only be accessed by Bluetooth. On Github there are some BLE projects
I coulda sworn I saw a YouTube talk with Dennis Giese (dustbuilder) at that Las Vegas hacker conventionDEFCON, where he co-presented with Braelynn, and they were talking about their work in rooting lawn mowers (Ecovacs GOAT), so I wonder if there's something coming from that direction 🤞🏾

Were you ever wondering why a vacuum robot or a smart air purifier needs multiple cameras and microphones? How secure are these devices? Can the devices be used to potentially spy on you?
For the past 5 years we have been presenting ways to hack and root vacuum robots at various events like the c3 or the DEFCON. In all these cases it covered va...
