#Confused with Coordinator/Hub

Hello ! I'm currently gathering informations before buying everything to start my journey into HA and home automation. One thing that still is a bit fuzzy. Sorry if it's on the wrong section since I don't know where this question fits.

I plan to buy a SMLIGHT SLZB-06 coordinator in POE and run HA on my Synology Nas.

Looking online for some random RGB Bulb, I found Tuya light bulb Zigbee. It says that it needs a Tuya Hub to work.

In that case, does the Tuya Zigbee Bulb can be use with the SLZB-06 alone and be used/found in my HA or I still need the brand Hub ?

Same with Aqara, if I look to Sensor Fp1e, it says it requires Aqara Zigbee hub and other third party hubs aren't compatible.

I'm a bit lost.

If you have a coordinator and running zigbee2mqtt or zha you don't need a hub, it's worth noting that the add ons for these can't be installed if you have HA running in a container on a NAS

#

That said, the tuya zigbee implementation is just... bad, so people run into issues with them a lot

Yeah for the AddOns HA need to ba installed insing a VM to have acces to addons right ? I saw that docker is meh with HA.
