#Control routing in Zigbee networks

I have a number of zigbee devices that constantly go offline. The reason, as far as I can tell, is that two devices act as "super-routers" in my system - and do a bad job of it. I've already powered them down, but the other devices still try to connect to them.

First question: Is there a way to force the mesh network to re-calculate its routing?

Second question: Is there any way to disable the routing on certain devices, e.g. by setting a configuration flag or whatever?

  1. Nope, some devices might have the option to force a reroute but the coordinator can't force it. The best you could manage is taking the network down for 30 mins to an hour and then restarting, that way everything that auto reroutes will do so. Aqara I think don't though (along with others) and you'd need to remove them from the network with a reset and then repair them with a router you're happy with them using
  2. No, that is implemented at the device level, so while they might have a way to disable it, they generally don't
