My Reolink video doorbell comes with a chime that plugs into the wall. The chime itself is pretty basic, and as far as I can tell there is no way to interact with the chime from either Home Assistant or even the Reolink app.
I have a 10 month old, and have their sound machine/night light connected to Home Assistant. I'd like to be able to turn the doorbell chime off when the sound machine is on. I was thinking of connecting the chime to a smart plug and automating it that way; however, I'm worried these chimes are necessarily meant to be power cycled frequently.
Does anybody have any sort of insight on this?
