#raspberry pi4 fine to run dashboards ?

howdy, i have a 1080 touchscreen monitor thats going to be wall mounted and used to run only dashboards for cameras, lights ,etc.

wasnt sure if a rpi4 with 8gb of ram would be good enough to function without any lag. a mini pc with 16gb of ram, an m.2 ssd, n100 is the exact same price with an acceptable power usage. so, im not sure what to go with.

ive never used a raspberry pi in my life, but i have used a fair share of laptops and desktops with older/slower cpus that struggled with websites.

It'll depend on what you want to do - displaying multiple camera feeds may cause it to struggle

Simple dashboards should be just fine

yep, I have a dashboard with 4 cameras through frigate integration

probably just stick with the mini pc. either option will be hidden away at least

i suppose another option would be to run a fiber hdmi and powered usb extension cable from the computer running HA to the touchscreen. it has a newer i5. those 2 cables would be about the same price as a minipc.
