I have been running HA as a VM on my NAS for some time now and wanted to move to a dedicated controller as my NAS has been having issues (up and down ... causing home automation to stop). I purchased a new Yellow (Rev 1.3 with POE) from the CloudFree website along with a Kingston NV2 NVMEeSSD 256G that was suggested to work with the unit. I then purchased a CM5 (CM5104032) from PiShop.us. I installed the CM5 and programmed the eMMC using rpiboot and Raspberry Pi Imager v1.8.5 with HA Yellow and imported my backup from the VM and everything works great. However, when checking SETTINGS > SYSTEM > HARDWARE the nVMe drive is not there.
Looking further into the Yellow instructions I found as of October 2023, there is a way to force install of HAOS from USB stick to nVMe by holding blue button at certain point during the boot cycle (when Yellow LED is on for 5 seconds) - https://yellow.home-assistant.io/power-supply/#installing-home-assistant-software-on-kit.
So I initialized a USB drive with the HAOS image (latest one) and tried the Blue button - no luck (NOTE: the yellow light on my unit never stays on for 5 seconds straight ... my LED sequence is RED, GREEN, RED, GREEN, RED w GREEN and YELLOW Flicker)
Additional Note: Only time I change the JP1 from UART to USB is when I programmed the CM5 using rpiboot. I then returned the jumper to UART.
Any thoughts on getting HAOS to recognize the nVMe drive is present - My end goal is to booth and have all data on the nVMe drive.
Thanks
