hassio voice-assist and tv speech problem

I cannot use the voice assist when the TV is working, is aways catch what tv speaking. that all make the voice assist unusable 80% of the time. Do you aware of the problem is it there a solution.

I pause the TV whenever the Voice PE next to it changes to listening

you can make an automation to mute / pause audio equipment when assist satellite sensor changes state to listenining, then resume when changes to idle

thanks I will try it , but is good if nabucasa team thing about the issue , in my office when 2 people have conversation on background its inposible to trigger any command too , and is rude to make them pause the conversation ahhaahha

It's matter of noise cancelling, Nabu is nothing to do with it.

If you think of it, they're not actually "responsible". They're driving it, yes. But there's only this much anyone can do without proper hardware and technology. Noise cancelation and AEC aren't in control of NabuCasa.

come on technology is there , Alexa , Google, Apple , gopro has it , is need nothing much than 3 microphone and software. We talk about that before , and nothing go on the market without people search for it. For that believe if community want it it will be there 😉

Understand all those companies achieved what you are comparing to with millions and millions of dollars, decades of work, and closed source code/hardware development. And also using all of your data to do it 😉 Open source will get there, but it's a combined effort of hardware and software that takes time to research and develop on both fronts. 🙂

Yeah one of my duties at my job (Lead Developer) is to be a career mentor, so I help the junior/associate/senior devs i work with to learn new technologies and figure out where they want to go with their careers and help them gain the skills to excel at what they are looking to achieve 😊

So kinda requires me to learn alot and teach alot lol
