Hi,
I have been living in a smart home in Germany since 2008, which was converted from a Busch-Jäger system to a Homematic system in 2012.
I have several hundred actors and sensors active, and a CCU3 is running.
I want to add Apple Home Support and therefore install a HomeAssistant.
As the HA Yellow "only" has USB 2.0 connectors, I plan on a "CopyCat" with a 16GB Raspberry CM5 on a Raspberry IO-Board.
The Yellow has a Radiochip (from SiliconLaps - I think), which I do not immediatly need but want to install to expand the system further in this direction in the future.
I am struggling a bit with those different standards now.
The Chip on the Yellow seems to cover Zigbee 3.0, Matter, and OpenThread.
I am currently looking at the RaspBee II (as it seems to be difficult to get the SiliconLaps chip in Germany) but I could not figure out if this Chip also supports Matter and OpenThread.
If not, is there another chip that supports this?
I do not want to block one of the USB-Ports for something like that, so I am looking for a solution I could place on the IO-Board (GPIO?) itself.
