I have the Govee Bluetooth only LED light strips. I didn't realize this only supports BT. I thought it would support Wi-Fi but they don't. So to control them, I always have to go into the Govee app on my Smart Phone and be within range. Is there anything out there that can help me integrate these into HA so that I can control them over HA's LAN? I see the Govee integration is there in HA for both LAN and BT support but it doesn't pick up the lights via BT because I think I need additional hardware connected or integrated with HA?

Looking at this further, the BT part is only compatible with a few BT devices from Govee and the LED strip lights is not one of them: https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/govee_ble/

So I wonder what other options I have to make this work

I'm still hopeful for some input 😉

Anyone? Struggling with this one here. Is Govee just not that suitable in HA?

I'm in the same boat. Pretty sure this is on us (you and I) for assuming things that arent true. My govee wifi lights function but yeah, haven't had luck getting my bt strip to cooperate

Govee has like a hundred skus for every product line as different ics get cheaper or more expensive and they frantically shove in what's the most cost effective parts to use. Keeping up with them is impossible. You should be looking for Matter certification if you want something that is confirmed to work
