#What does reordering energy devices do?

The 2025.1 announcement blog highlights a change that @midnight gyro merged in that allows the user to reorder energy devices. I can indeed reorder them in the settings panel, but that doesn't change how they are displayed in the energy dashboard; they remain sorted by usage in the two "individual devices" plots. Is that the intended behavior?

It just affects the color, and the fact that some people with a lot of devices might want to organize the list so they can more easily see what is in it.

It's a pretty minor change.

But sorting by usage in the charts is intended.

But if re-coloring is going to be a feature, it might make more sense to have a color picker
