I have a Hue hub and probably around 25 Hue lights around the house. It's all integrated with HA and working perfectly fine. However, I see some (many?) people ditching the Hue hub, getting a Zigbee coordinator, and directly pairing lights to HA. My house is mostly Thread/Matter based (63 devices) and I don't have any immediate plans for more Zigbee devices other than more Hue. Would the migration away from the Hue hub and directly to HA be a worthwhile endeavor? What would I gain by going direct?
#Hue lights direct via Zigbee or stay with Hue hub?

I did that and have no regrets. Having the lights speak to Home Assistant directly removes one layer of complexity. I sold my hub for the price of the kit with 3 lights lol
You loose some you gain some. If you like the integrations the hue system brings you may find the lack of them a bit annoying
