I've narrowed my choices down to the kwik-set matter door lock and the aqara U200 (or maybe U300). I don't know much about reliablity of either brand. I've read the kwikset jams sometimes and really know nothing at all about aqara matter door locks. I'm looking for insights on either.

thanks

Also, I'm in the USA if that helps.

i don't have a smart lock at home (yet), but when i researched the last time (a couple of months back), i also ended up with the Aqara U200

i also remember looking at Yale and Nuki models as well (i read online they're good too; altho, i'm not sure if they have Matter support)

but probably i'll personally just go for the Aqara

Yale locks were my first attraction when I started research but I've read too many reports by users who say they aren't reliable and/or customer support is awful. So much so that i decided they weren't worth the gamble.

of course kwik-set is the most expensive between it and aqara.

Philips just released a Z-Wave fingerprint lock that looks interesting

I’ve had bad experiences with my Kwikset convert so can’t recommend kwikset.

#

Bluetooth stuff I also refuse to use because it seems unreliable.

#

Level locks and the Aqara ones (from when I researched a bit ago) had varying compatibility issues with HA aswell. That could have changed though.

I would also consider the switchbot lock pro because the standard one is not great.

So disappointing that all the palm locks don't have a local integration into HA.
