#Issue when connecting Wear OS watch

I did a factory reset on my Pixel Watch yesterday, and had to reconnect to HA, this worked but it created a new device.
I wanted to remove the old one, but accidentally removed the new device, so then I removed them both.

Now I'm in some kind of limbo where I can't connect the watch again. When I try to do so, my watch asks for the server to connect to. When I select it, my phone opens the HA app, but it shows the screen to select favorites and create templates. It doesn't show the connection wizard.

Sounds like the connection between the phone and watch (Wear OS data layer) is returning stale data, making the phone think the watch is already signed in. In the past this was usually fixed by restarting the phone and watch, have you already tried that?

That did solve it. If was the other way around though. After a restart the watch was immediately logged in, so the phone was right ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks!

Unfortunately the data layer is handled by Play Services so I don't think this is something the app can permanently fix

No, I think that just closed the app. But I can't really verify it anymore now. I can't imagine I didn't at least try that ๐Ÿ˜…

If it closed the app that also should've worked/made the app check again

Can't check it anymore indeed

Anyway, glad it's fixed
