Isn't the grandstream just voip?

Most old viop phones dont support the codex needed. You need to put some thing in between like asterisk.

Yep, grandstresm is voip in front of an old-fashioned 600 Ohm line telephone.
I wonder if this could be done with a stand alone Voip.
