I have both the blind and remote joined to Z2M, blind is in a group. Attempting to bind the remote to that group. Blind firmware 24.4.13. I used the Z2M bindint tab on the remote, time out failures. I've tried waking the remote with a press to its internal button, and then binding. same error. Thoughts? And I selected Level control on both. Goal is to not have to program HA on how to handle remote function, have direct control over blind via the remote. HA can also control blind through z2m.

Thoughts on where i may be going astray? I have others to move into z2m but I'll deal with them when I have this working. They will stay on the Tradfiri gateway for now with their remotes.

Continued to dig around and solved it.
once you have both of them added to Z2M and given good friendly names so you know whats what. click on devices, then the remote, next click its Bind tab. At the bottom of that list will be some selections... Configure as follows in this image.
