#Flashing ZBT-1 to have Thread Border Router support on Core

Heya, I bought two ZBT-1 sticks to get both Zigbee as well as Matter (over Thread) working with my HA. Now I ran into the issue when selecting Thread that Add-Ons are not available for Core, so the flashing tool within Home Assistant isn't available.
Is there a way I can manually flash the Border Router firmware onto one of my ZBT-1's thru either my Windows computer or thru Debian's terminal on my Pi?

I also ran into another issue which is that it wasn't detecting my device for quite a bit of time until it randomly started working. And I have the same issue with my secondary ZBT-1. I can't seem to figure that out. Should I create a new ticket for that?

If you bought it at one of the official sellers, it should be one of the new batch.
Does it show up in the device manager of your OS?

neither the front io, back io or the pci-e io are giving anything

also tried with the 2.0 wire it came with to see if it might be an issue with USB3

I can try the alternative using the Terminal but I am really unfamiliar with that environment.

I think, it might be a driver problem in your case. My ZBT-1 shows up as COM & LPT and not as others.

It should give you a prompt to update the Zigbee firmware or to change it.

Great! The flashing worked! Thanks for helping here.
Earlier I was running into an issue with my other ZBT-1 (and thisone too) that they weren't automatically detected by HA (After some fiddling around, idk what I did, it picked up my Zigbee one). Should I create a different ticket for that if that'd occur again?

You might run into problems when setting up the OpenThread Border Router (the firmware is just the first step) and the Matter server. In those cases the #1284966617670881350 with "Thread" or "Matter" tags would be the right place to look for help as well.
