Hi, I just started with Home Assistant and everything went fine so far. But I'm now trying to cast a dashboard to my Nest Hub and I seem to be missing something. In the manual (https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/cast/) it says:
*Home Assistant has its own Cast application to show the Home Assistant UI on any Chromecast device. You can use it by adding the Cast entity row to your dashboards, or by calling the cast.show_lovelace_view action. *

But I can't seem to find the Cast entity. The Google Cast integration is working good but only has my media devices as entities. What am I missing? Sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm a bit lost here.

Instructions on how to integrate Google Cast into Home Assistant.

I think it requires some kind of remote access with an SSL certificate. Not entirely sure though.

Are your Hubs added as devices for the Cast integration?

#

They should've been auto-discovered assuming they're on the same network as HA

Yes, the hub is added. But I only have the Google Cast integration and looks like there is a Cast application from HA itself?

That'd be referring to the application that actually runs on the devices themselves to cast the dashboards. That isn't anything you need to add/setup.

So I have to edit my dashboard in the configuration editor and just add the code?

Okay, so I added the code to the dashboard. I now get the HA screen on the hub, but it says the dashboard must be reached with https, but I have cloud enabled. Hmm.

You shouldn't need to do anything extra if you've got a HA Cloud subscription
