While attempting to add OpenAI integration the Voice PE was initially failing to talk to OpenAI, then only giving response tones and then nothing at all. I cant get any lights to show and pressing the button for over 22 seconds (held for a minute) does not initiate a reset.

Maybe try reflashing it from the webtool?

it isnt being recognized by the computer

leaving it plugged into a computer for a bit is causing it to warm up

so good news, the distributor is replacing it free of charge and told me not to worry about sending this one back.

so i cracked it open and the first thing it did was shock me 😂

you should absolutely not receive a shock from the VPE. if you really are receiving a shock from it, then you may have some other electrical issue in your home or at least in the PC you’ve connected it to…
(I'm making the assumption that you're referring to an actual electrical shock, not just some discharge from static electricity build-up, haha)

for all i know it could have burned me

it was a sharp sting i would have associated with being shocked, but yeah it was plugged into a a samsung usb C charger when that happened
