Hello! I have multiple exposed devices that can give a temperature reading, ie an HVAC unit and a SONOFF temperature sensor. When asking Assist about the temperature in a room, it will read from the HVAC unit instead of the other (more accurate) temperature sensor.
I can't "unexpose" the wrong one because it is a climate entity that as more use than just temperature reading.
How can I make Assist prefer reading from the other sensor?

You can't unless you create a custom sentence. HassClimateGetTemperature will query climate entities

Is the other assigned sensor assigned to the room/area and exposed as well? I assume this only happens in one area, the sonoff must be assigned somewhere?

Both are assigned to the same room, ie "bedroom"

You can ask about the temp sensor by name, i.e. "what is <temp sensor name or alias>?", provided that it is exposed to assist
