Ok, the title might sound a bit strange, but I have a HA installation from a third party for our solar panels / battery etc which I have access to in only view mode.

Now I bought a HA green since I want to play a bit more with automation, but since I now have 2 webpages.. one for my own and one for the solar stuff I was wondering if I can embed the solar stuff into the one I have.

I created a new dashboard which points to the url of the other HA page, but I get a 'refused to connect'. Someone who can help me out? Or if I need to provide more info let me know! :)

Some extra's:

  • Both are http
  • Both a local only - no external access
  • Solar stuff is also with basic auth - no 2fa

Just to clarify, you're running two instances of HA on separate systems: one for solar and the other for automation testing?

Correct @viral gulch

One runs on HA Green (personal one) and one on a NUC (third party company)

That should let you bring entities into your main HomeAssistant so you don't have to juggle views and whatnot between 2

Assuming that they can communicate to one another, you said local only, so assuming both are within your network
