#Hikvision or Reolink cams for Frigate?

I myself have good experience with Reolink. They don’t have the tendency to lock features down under propriety apis.
In the past I could get so frustrated with Ezviz/Hikvision firmwares which only provided limited Onvif for some devices/brands. I had to flash firmware’s of 3rd party manufacturers. Never again a Hikvision device for me, even though their hardware might be superior.
I've not had any issues with my hikvision cameras, as long as you buy actual hikvision cameras and not the graymarket hikvision clones that are much cheaper. We have seen many users make this mistake on aliexpress.
The issue with Reolink is their firmware is generally not as stable for RTSP but it really depends on the specific camera as they don't seem to get improvements across the board. The CX-410 does work with the recommended http-flv stream while the CX-810 will require rtsp to be used.
imo reolink is trash.
I'm going to return my cx810 and get my cctv guy to install hik
My CX410's work absolutely fine, really happy with them for the price
DS-2CD2387G2H-LIU is this a good camera?
