There has been a few instances where the response of assist is a lot longer then anticipated. When using a previous assistant like Alexa or Google I could prompt again and say stop and it would terminate the response as is but with assist it seems I need to wait through the full response before I am able to do anything. Is there something I am missing or a work around?
#Is there a way to stop the response once it has started

That depends on the satellite. What are you using?
In my Case IT IS ha Voice pe. Same question.
or press the middle button with the same effect
Thanks! It might be a little OT, but how does one stop the 'ringing' of a timer? I have only gotten around to saying the wake word or pressing the middle button - however, sometimes I am not close to the ringing assistant. How can it be stopped from another assistant?
Saying "stop!" Also works, but only on the same unit
Thanks - if only that unit is listening, it might work as well. I will try it 🙂
I just tried experimenting. I have a pi with a speaker and mic using wyoming protocol and it doesn't stop regardless if you say stop or name and stop, I was not able to order the PE yet so I cannot confirm for that device.
Pretty sure it only works on the voice pe at the moment
Well, Respeaker Satellite and Koala both have that too 🙂 Since they're based on PE.
I have wyoming satellite, is the "Respeaker Satellite" something different or a different configuration? I still cannot get it to work on the wyoming satellite on either the rpi4 or pi zero with respeaker 2mic hat and it will continue the prompt response until it fully finishes no matter what is spoken.
