Hi guys, I got my Voices PE today, and it works quickly with simple configuration. It has many advantages, but also some drawbacks.

Pros:

1. Beautiful shell, especially the upper part, which feels great to the touch.
2. The volume dial allows for easy volume control, instead of constantly pressing buttons.
3. With the dual microphone array, it can hear my commands and respond within a 5-meter range (in a relatively quiet environment).
4. The setup guide is very detailed, and you just need to follow the steps.
5. It works even with background noise or pure music playing.

Cons:

1. It can't function well in environments with complex human voices, but it can still barely wake up and capture multiple voices.
2. The 3.5mm jack is positioned too inward, which might prevent it from being fully inserted, leading to sound distortion.
3. The startup time is a bit long, about 1 minute to fully boot.

Overall, this is still an excellent product. If it could function accurately in environments with complex human voices, it would be a perfect product. By the way, I forgot to mention its name is PE. But I will still support their work by purchasing Nabu Casa devices.

The disadvantage #3 is negligible. You won't reboot it under normal circumstances. Echo and Google nest have times bigger boot time.

But I'd add internal speaker quality to disadvantages. It's okay with voice - but still sounds like a dev kit... Not everyone has free speaker with audio jack - that's why there's tons of requests for wireless sound redirection for PE.

Yes, the internal speaker is not great. At maximum volume, the sound has a slight distortion. However, I would prefer it to be able to separate real-world voices from complex sounds. My other commercial voice assistant can do this—it always ignores the dialogue in TV shows. It’s cloud-based, HUAWEI. It probably has more advanced algorithms for audio processing and STT.
