Hello everybody. Can anybody give some recommendations on hardware for the voice assistant preview edition based on experience? I just recently moved from a raspberry 4 to a HP T640, but am willing to move to another platform yet again to have a smooth experience with the voice assistant preview edition.

Depends on how your pipeline is set up. A cloudbased pipeline (STT and TTS) will work quite well even on the rpi4. If you however want to run STT onprem then things change drastically. TTS is forgiving but STT uses more processing power.

Yeah it all depends on your needs. If you want local pipeline with AI, you will need something like Jetson Nano or PC with NVIDIA video card.

I am a subscriber to Nabu Casa Cloud so I COULD use that, but I’m interested in getting a future-proof and mostly local HA system running
