Smart plug won't connect to any apps

I've tried Tuya, Geeni, and i-Home apps (which I'm now pretty sure are all the exact same app) and none of them worked.

The iHome Control app the manual talks about just doesn't even exist

if you have an android phone you could use a site like the apkmirror to side load the last known version of the app. Wink app also appears to work with those

another thing is some of those appear to have bt pairing abilities, that may be an option

That thread suggests that HomeKit may work, but ... probably

This is why you should:

1. Avoid anything Tuya
2. Buy Zigbee, Z-Wave, or Matter/Thread

Homekit requires the device to already be on the network. Idk what that redditor is talking about

if they are tuya then the actual tuya app might be able to pair them

use just to get the homekit part to work

I guess I'll just take it apart and see if I could replace the control board with an esp32 or somethin
