#Smart scale recommendation

I have a Xiaomi BLE scale which I have connected via a ESP32 Bluetooth proxy.
where did you buy it from
and was it this? - https://www.amazon.com/Xiaomi-Body-Composition-Scale-Smart/dp/B07VD9F419
any special integration needed?
That’s the one I have. In Home Assistant there is an integration which uses an ESP32 Bluetooth proxy. It exposes weight and impedance.
I have the same scale for about two years, it was automatic detected on first start through the BLE proxy ( ESP32 ) and always works flawlesly
I assume it sends all weight and you can use HA to split people into variables?
Yes. But you need to implement this logic yourself in HomeAssistant. So if everybody weighs about the same weight, then that is not possible.
yeah I'm probably going to have to make toggles that get manually flipped to throw the weight amount into a variable and then turn off the toggle
@royal bough is that the best scale youve used? or have you ever considered another in the past. it looks good so ill bookmark it unless you have another opinion
Yes, it only sends the weight to HA
is it pretty accurate in your opinion?
yes
Withings body+
it true that this is cloud push only?
Oh this would be really nice for keeping track of history.
Plus the evil side of me wants to create an automation where my Google speaker says something to my wife when she jumps on the scale 😏
