#Voice PE - can't set up in Android app

Hi, I just got my Voice PE and I'm having trouble setting it up. Following the instructions, I've plugged it in, opened the companion app on my phone, but nothing shows up in the 'Devices & Services' section.
Server is 2024.12.5 running in docker, app is 2024.12.1-full from Play store. All permissions granted for the app.
Using BLE Radar from F-Droid I can see that my phone can detect the Voice PE hardware, but it doesn't appear in the HA app.
Any suggestions for how to get it connected?

try looking for it's hotspot by scanning your wifi. if you can connect to it. then visit http://192.168.4.1 and you should see a page to add the device to your wifi

@verbal citrus go to devices and services and click "add" button. The popup should appear.

If it's not, choose improv in list of integrations to add.

Thanks, for the suggestions. Trying to add Improv via BLE just gives a message 'No devices found on the network'.
Tried a tablet (which crashed when going to the devices and settings page), uninstalling and reinstalling the app on my Fairphone 4 (no change). Eventually used my wife's phone, and that worked as it should. Detected the device via BLE, and let me add.

Next hurdle: it now appears in a 'Discovered' section. 'Home Assistant Voice (Mac address), ESPHome, Add/Ignore'.
Clicking the Add button doesn't seem to work, gives me a popup asking 'Please enter connection settings of your ESPHome node.' The IP address it has found is correct, the device is now connected to the network. It suggests port 6053, no idea if this is correct.

I have ESPHome set up as a separate docker container, would this cause issues? It's worked happily for the couple of ESP8266 devices I've got hooked up already.

And now it works! Not sure what changed to make it work, but its happy now.
