#Matter Server Lost All Nodes/Devices After a Rollback from Beta
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
you have to go back to the beta version
the latest beta bumps the matter specification to 1.4. i imagine this is not backwards compatible.
you're gonna have to roll with it and bump down to stable once there is a stable version of 7.0 at all
either that or revert to a backup and not just downgrade the container
Thx for your response. I have gone back to beta. But same error. I assume the data was somehow corrupted?
i don't really know what might've happened. hope you have backups!
it won't work, I tried to restore a recent backup
try rebooting your system after restoring the backup.
oh, that could be a trick! will try thx!
It won't work either; I restored to an earlier full backup then reboot the host; and different error appeared on the console. Maybe I should get a fresh start?
What would be the best practice to clean the Matter component, cache, devices, and start over?
@sour blade Is this the issue you discussed at GitHub and with another user here on discord?
Doesn't sound like it, tho loosing all matter devices seems kinda related. Possibly the older matter sdk couldn't read the config from the newer one, and dropped all devices when it reset the config?
Yes I did roll back the add-on, by disabling the beta option. I have to remove the add-on and the integration in the end, start all over again. Everything works so far
