Any reason why the sensor from the GasBuddy integration doesn't use LTS? I know I can probably make a template sensor to mirror it, but why doesn't it go to LTS be default?

Because it needs a state_class, has to be a number, and have a unit of measure. Something is missing.

I see a number. I don's see a unit of measurement. State_class is not on that page so don't know if that's there either.

Like you mentioned originally. If this is an integration, that is controlling the entity creation. Get that changed, or create a template sensor that has the right attributes.

so it will just hijack the sensor to add extra things that are missing eh?
